Feb 17th 2020 was a bright and sunny Family Day, and the event at South Surrey Rec & Arts Center didn’t disappoint! The EngKidz area was lively with families trying some of our amazing STEM activities and demos.
Those who wanted a challenge tried their civil engineering chops at building a structure using various household materials. Of course, no design is complete without some testing, so every structure was shaken for 15 seconds on our motorized table to simulate seismic activity!
Visitors also got a chance to check out a renewable energy demo with a city powered by 3 different sources of renewable energy: wind, waves, and hydro!
