At EngKidz, we are committed to providing our clients, customers, parents/guardians, and students (collectively referred to as “clients”) with exceptional educational experiences through our STEM kits, in-person programs, and interactive digital content. Providing these services involves the collection, use, and disclosure of some personal information. Protecting that information is one of our highest priorities.
This policy outlines how EngKidz collects, uses, and safeguards personal information in accordance with British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, where applicable, Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
This Privacy Policy applies to EngKidz and its subsidiaries. It also applies to any service providers collecting, using, or disclosing personal information on behalf of EngKidz.
• Personal Information: Information about an identifiable individual, including name, age, address, phone number, email address, payment information, and educational details.
• Contact Information: Business contact details such as position, business address, or work email, which are not covered by this policy.
• Privacy Officer: The individual designated to ensure EngKidz’s compliance with this policy and applicable privacy laws.
EngKidz collects only the personal information necessary to verify identity, process purchases or registrations, identify preferences, deliver products and services, enroll clients in programs, provide access to online learning, ensure a high standard of service, and meet legal requirements.
Children’s Information: EngKidz products and digital materials are intended for children under adult supervision. Personal information about children (such as first name, age group, or project progress) is collected only from parents or guardians and used solely for educational and safety purposes.
We obtain consent to collect, use, or disclose personal information unless otherwise authorized by law. Consent may be oral, written, electronic, or implied where the purpose is obvious and voluntarily provided. Clients may withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions.
We use or disclose personal information only for the purposes identified at collection. Third-party providers such as Mailchimp (email communications), and Google Analytics (website analytics). These providers must maintain confidentiality and comply with privacy laws. Some data may be stored securely outside Canada and subject to local laws.
Personal information used to make decisions will be retained for at least one year. Otherwise, information is kept only as long as necessary to fulfill purposes or legal obligations, then securely deleted.
Clients may request corrections to ensure accuracy and completeness by writing to support@EngKidz.com. Corrections will be shared with other organizations where applicable.
EngKidz protects information using security measures such as passwords, encryption, firewalls, restricted access, and confidentiality agreements with service providers. Information is securely deleted when no longer needed.
Clients may request access to their personal information by writing to support@engkidz.com. Requests will be processed within 30 business days, with possible minimal fees and written explanations for any refusals.
EngKidz may use cookies or analytics tools to understand website use and improve services. Cookies can be disabled, though some site functions may be affected.
With consent, EngKidz may send promotional messages in compliance with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). Clients may unsubscribe at any time or contact support@engkidz.com.
