Kids STEM Summer Camp 2022
Kids Science and Engineering Summer Camp
This year EngKidz is excited to host our in-person summer camps at Timms Community Center.
Over the 4 weeks we will explore the engineering design process while building innovative hands-on STEM projects in a fun, engaging and a safe environment. Each session introduces a new science concept and kids interact with various science activities, outdoor games, robotics, coding, science simulations and 3D Design while building their take-home projects. The camp is designed to encourage tinkering and allow for hours of fun and engineering well after the day is over.
Some of the programs offered at our summer STEM camp include:
- Budding Engineers (Ages 7-11) - Set of 5 cool STEM projects, including a Rocket and an electric car.
- Artsy Makers and Artsy Innovators (Ages 7-11) - STEAM Programs combining the power of art and engineering to make cool dancing bots, flying butterflies, extending dragons and color spinners.
- Robo Engineers (Ages 9-14) - Robotics program where kids assemble, code and test their robots while learning about sensors, motors and basic robotics.
- Fun with 3D Printer (Ages 9-14) - Design new things in the world of 3D and bring them to life with our 3D Printers. This program is all about creativity, design and 3D!

Frequently Asked Questions
Where do we offer programs?
We currently offer STEM after school programs in several Surrey elementary schools, and at leisure/recreation centers in Surrey. More locations and programs are in the works.
Why is STEM education important?
STEM education improves problem solving skills and creativity, which helps kids succeed in all career paths, not just STEM careers.
What programs do we offer?
Our STEM programs include robotics, engineering, arts, 3D printing, and more.
What is a typical class like?
All our classes begin with a fun introduction to a science concept and include hands-on activities, science games, computer simulations, live demos and take-home project building.
What is different about EngKidz Programs?
EngKidz STEM workshops and projects are carefully designed by engineers to connect science and technology with real world engineering. Each hands-on take-home project is unique, but can be easily modified using everyday items, thus providing a creative playground to encourage innovation.
EngKidz program are closely aligned with BC Science and ADST (Applied Design, Skills, and Technologies) curriculum.
What age group are these programs for?
Our programs are designed for 7-13 year olds.
