Classroom Workshops - Science and Technology
Bring Hands-on STEM learning to your school
At EngKidz, we connect science and technology with real world applications and future needs. All the in-classroom workshops are hands-on and emphasize the engineering design process. Students will collaborate, problem-solve, build, test and improve their prototypes while working to solve engaging engineering challenges. Our goal is to inspire creativity and maker spirit in every child.
Tailored to align seamlessly with the BC Science and (ADST) curriculum, these hands-on sessions are designed to complement classroom learning with engineering project work. These workshops bring to life electrical systems, green energy, chemical reactions, simple machines and many other science topics.
Here are a few of the engaging engineering challenges that we could bring to your class:
- Eco-Friendly Urban Commuter, Precision Parachute Drop, Advanced Zipline System for Emergency Evacuation and more.

What programs do we offer?
Our STEM programs include robotics, engineering, arts, 3D printing, and more.
What is a typical class like?
All our classes begin with a fun introduction to a science concept and include hands-on activities, science games, computer simulations, live demos and take-home project building.
What is different about EngKidz Programs?
EngKidz STEM workshops and projects are carefully designed by engineers to connect science and technology with real world engineering. Each hands-on take-home project is unique, but can be easily modified using everyday items, thus providing a creative playground to encourage innovation.
EngKidz program are closely aligned with BC Science and ADST (Applied Design, Skills, and Technologies) curriculum.
What age group are these programs for?
Our programs are designed for 7-13 year olds.
